Aerodynamic – phase 2

This week we have worked with these keywords; Airflow, Orientation, Spatial composition, Material composition & Joints.

I have emphasized the composition of the objects, made smooth aerodynamic surfaces, making parts of the model as a re-order and pasted it on the other.
To study the flow of smoke, I have used some easy photoshop tricks. I got nice pictures, which are easy to interpret.
I was fascinated by the funnel shape from the previous phase. So I developed this funnel shaped object to today’s ride in the wind tunnel. This did not go as expected. The funnel I made were too small and did not work as planned.

Aerodynamic – phase 2

In this pictures you can se how the smoke behaves when hitting obstacles.

Aerodynamic

The last testing in phase #1. The two last composition are selfmade.

Results:

I have learned much about the behavior of the wind, using just a hair dryer and a lot of salt. I really looking forward to work more with wind and Aerodynamics.

Aerodynamic

In this task we used the whole amount of two “walls” in our wind observations.

Aerodynamic

Basic aerodynamic task, I easy got the understanding of how the wind behaves. Using only; salt, a camera, an hair dryer, an A3-box (with walls) and a 5×5 cm cardboard wall, to create turbulence.

you can see the result below:
